I just tested this ammo along with a few other brands and types of .44 special. This round far outdistanced everything else. It penetrated a 5/8 inch plywood panel then bored through 10 inches of dry newspaper losing some of its mass but turning the head into a nasty razor. In another test it went through 15 inches of water filled heavy plastic anti-freeze bottles lodging in the final jug with a prefectly formed mushroom. I did the test to find the round I would have the most confidence in with my home defense pistol. I found it.
