Friends, for many years, we’ve had countless requests to make a couple of very good and very powerful 7X57 loads. This load is designed to kill anything as small as a whitetail deer, yet as big as 1,700 lbs. AK/Yukon Moose. This is accomplished in part by using the monolithic all-copper Barnes TTSX deep penetrating bullet. This bullet expands nicely and yet penetrates quite deeply due to its all-copper design. Expect this bullet to penetrate living mammalian tissues as deeply as other 175-grain bullets, premium/partitioned type bullets, yet it shoots as fast and flat as a typical spitzer-shaped 140 gr. bullet. 

While this load is very much a full-power load, it is safe to shoot in any Mauser-style or push-feed action in normal operating condition. Have your antique rifles thoroughly checked for function before firing any ammunition in them. Many of these rifles have an unknown history. 

Properly designed ammo for the 7X57 Mauser is super useful in North America. It is a nice, low-recoiling, and powerful cartridge. Good for 400-500 yard shots on most North American big game. To this day, it sees considerable use in Europe and in Africa on plains game. It’s a much-loved cartridge in Africa.
