Friends, This new 35 Whelen load features a 250 gr. Hornady bullet of cup & core construction. At this velocity (2,600 fps), this bullet will not overmushroom and will penetrate quite deep. For this velocity level, this bullet is constructed perfectly to give expansion but not over-expand. You do not need so-called “premium” bullets for this velocity range.
