Lower Recoil .44 Magnum Ammo
255 gr. Keith - G.C. @ 1,350 fps/M.E. 1,032 ft lbs
20 Round Box

There have been several requests for a full power 44 Mag. Load that recoils substantially less than our other Heavy 44 Mag. Loads, but will still penetrate deeply and be deadly on game animals.

When S&W introduced their model 329PD, we noticed that some of those scandium revolvers would experience sticky extraction from their titanium cylinders with our Heavy loads and the recoil in the lightweight scandium 329PD guns was horrendous, to say the least. This recoil would sometimes cause bullets to "jump crimp" thus tying up the revolver.

In order to alleviate the recoil, crimp jump, and sticky extraction, we have developed this load. It is still full power but uses a lighter weight, super hard cast, gas checked bullet, and will still penetrate very deeply in big game despite its lighter weight. This load is ideal for those of you who carry the S&W Model 329PD. This load will not lead your barrel.

This load falls well under SAAMI pressure specs and is safe to use IN ANY 44mag. While we love to hear from our customers, please do not phone/email us and ask if this load is safe in your particular 44 Mag. - it is - providing your gun is in normal working condition.

Please NOTE:  The Action in Henry Lever Action rifles is too short to cycle this load.  They can be shot via hand chambering the load one at a time.

Now there exists a serious full power 44 Mag. load that will penetrate big bones (including a bears skull) and drives deeply into living organs and tissues, that has minimum recoil.

See the below ballistics fired out of my personal revolvers.

➤  1,264 fps -- S&W 329PD (4-inch)
1,357 fps -- Ruger Red Hawk (5.5-inch)

Your 340gr +P+ recoil is bad enough on 4.66" Ruger SBH no way was I going to carry them in a Vaquero TALo birdshead grip 3.75" bbl. But this round is perfect for it.

This 255gr Keith bullet at 1254fps (chronographed out of my 329PD) is extremely accurate! Happy with the power level and minimal bullet creep.

Really like this load! Out of my 629 Mountain Revolver the velocities are as advertised and accuracy is great! This may be the best factory .44 load, I have used!

S&W M69 44mag, had accuracy and control issues with the heavy bear loads, but this low recoil 255gr round is perfect and will be used hiking in bear country.

I work as a pilot and guide for a lodge in Alaska, this round is perfect for my 329PD which I carry every day.

Great ammo I use in my .44 Magnum Taurus Titanium frame when I'm in the back country. Sticky extractions when you rapid fire but other than that, great ammo.

just what I was looking for, for my 329PD

Great ammo for the Airlite!

Have run three boxes through both of my 44 magnum "snubbies" - one a Performance Center Stainless and the other a Night Guard scandium frame. Loads are stout but very controllable, more than accurate enough. Penetration is excellent. Have found my outdoor Alaska round.

I shot two boxes of these in my Ruger Super Redhawk with a 9.5 inch barrel. They were accurate and the recoil was just what I was looking for: A mean cartridge that wouldn't break my wrist. Good stuff, no complaints!

I've put a few boxes of this ammo through my Ruger Alaskan. Controllable with great accuracy! Wish it was available in a 50rd box.

Perfect load for scandium frame, all the power, and penetration I could want, with control. No crimp jump, or extraction problems. Would like to see a similar loading for my 4" S

I love this ammo! Accurate, great penetration with the hard cast Keith, minimal recoil, and functions flawlessly in both revolver and rifle. Versatile ammunition. Thanks

Fired a box through my light .44 mag. Taurus Tracker today. Happy to feel all the power I would need for bear backup with the confidence behind the super hard cast bullet.
Fires with authority, and the casings eject like butter. I'll feel confident heading into the North Cascades this fall. Just ordered another box!

Friends and Customers, 08-18-20

All shooters are being inconvenienced with what is happening to our society and the rush it is causing on ammo supplies. We have LOTS of ammo in stock and are making more at a huge volume on a daily basis. If our web site allows you to order any item, that means it is in stock—WE DO NOT TAKE ORDERS FOR ITEMS WE DO NOT HAVE! So, please do not email and ask if items are in stock. If they aren’t, the shopping cart will not take your order.

We have hundreds of customers to get orders to on a daily basis. In order for us to accomplish this for our customers, we ask the following.

  1. Be sure of what you are ordering. You are going to get what you ordered.

  2. Do not contact us and ask to change an order you’ve already placed. When we manually change orders it requires a lot of time that we do not have during this rush and it keeps us from serving all of our customers. If you’d like to change an order, we can no longer do that till things slow down, so simply place another order for more product, but PLEASE, NO MORE CHANGES after the fact!

  3. We NEVER have and never will take ammo exchanges or returns and then turn around and re-sale that ammo to unsuspecting customers as factory new ammo—this is not safe nor is it fair to customers who are buying what they think is new and safe ammo. No ammo is tamper proof! So please stop asking to exchange or get a refund for ammo you ordered, but have changed your mind about.

  4. Please do not contact us and ask for tracking numbers or “when will my ammo ship”? Our system automatically emails out tracking numbers on the orders we ship each day, however, because these emails are coming from a corporation shopping cart, many of these emails may go to your spam folder……..please look there. If it is not in your spam folder, that means we have not yet shipped. At current order rates, we are shipping within 5-7 business days of the time an internet order is placed. Please sit tight. Your ammo will arrive at the same time if you track it or not and will certainly arrive later if we are swamped answering questions instead of getting orders shipped. When 30-50 people per day send emails asking for tracking information and we have to pull that information up, then type it out and email it, it takes a huge portion of our work day that we should be using to ship those orders to customers in need. Please leave us alone so we can serve all of you. (ship to you) It’s a bit selfish, during times of shortages, when so many folks need to protect their families, to slow us down because you ordered carelessly or want to change your order. Right now, we expect you to do your part to help us all get the ammo we need in our troubled country.

These measures are hopefully temporary and will not be needed for long as we enjoy the interaction with our customers, so please, for the time being, be mindful of all those others who are also trying to get ammo during what I think is a societal meltdown/emergency. Hopefully, we can serve you all. We want you and your families to be armed and safe and we wish you the best during these trying times. My biggest concern is that things will worsen yet more, for a while. Until things straighten out in our government and society, we will have to streamline our customer service in order to serve all customers. Thank you for your understanding.

Good shooting and God bless,

Tim Sundles
