As per popular demand, Buffalo Bore is introducing 7 new 458 SOCOM loads that will fill every possible need 458 SOCOM shooters may have. For those who want to hunt big game, destroy cars or houses, or do close range sniping with an AR platform firearm, the 458 SOCOM has no equal. Our hunting loads for medium-sized game (Item 47A and Item 47B) will hammer deer, medium sized hogs and bear with aplomb. Item 47C and Item 47D  will cleanly take big game animals weighing over 2,000 lbs. Item 47F and Item 47G will handle subsonic, suppressed sniping, (to about 200 yards) or close range hunting needs on 2,000+ lb. game animals.

Item 47G is designed to be a sub-sonic load, for suppressed use, but you do not have to use a suppressor if you do not want to. This 500 gr. flat nosed hard cast bullet features a gas checked, very hard bullet that will not lead foul your barrel and will not foul your gas port. When fired at these relatively low sub-sonic velocities, this bullet will not expand, but will act as a solid and will penetrate deeply. If you are using a rangefinder and proper optics, there is no reason not to snipe with this load out to 200 yards. Because of the big bullet diameter and deep-penetrating bullet, this load is appropriate for 2,000 lb. + game animals. In my 16 inch Wilson Combat AR, the average velocity was 1,115 fps. With this load, unlike our other sub-sonic load, I had to adjust my gas port to get the action to reliably cycle.

47A & 47B
