HEAVY 10MM OUTDOORSMAN Handgun Ammunition

Will not fit in a Lone Wolf Barrel. The case has too much bulge from the heavy slug. I am still a Buffalo Bore fan. I use it in my .460 Rowland. Would fit in a stock barrel.

Glock 20SF. Factory length barrel. Took down a 350lb rambouillet at 30 yards on the run. 1 shot and it was down with a clean entry and exit hole. Went through wool, rib, lung, spine, lung and again through wool. He took 1 step and was down. Another shot in the brain to finish the job. Looked for the bullet but couldnt find it. Buffalo bore 220gr hard cast is dead accurate and stabilized in factory barrel. I tried another popular brands 230gr hard cast 10mm and it didnt stabilize and was inaccurate in the factory barrel. The other brands 230gr accuracy was fine in my LW 4.5" but didn't reliably feed. Buffalo bore makes a great round, but little pricey for only a 20 round box.

I needed a 3/8 hole in a piece of 1/4 inch sheet steel. Location specific but did not have to be perfect. I was jury-rigging a foundation plate for mounting a block and tackle on my mother-in-laws pole barn. Drill bit broke with the last hole. I let it get to hot for too long. Anyways, time to improvise. I had these in my CC Glock 29. My mother-in-law, the wife, and a couple other people thought I was nuts. Probably am. I took the shots from about ten feet away from behind some cover and wearing a welder's mask. It suffices to say they did the job. Two neat little holes. No long pain in the a** trip to find a steel bit that late on a Sunday.

I used this load on a whitetail doe who was below me a few feet and slightly quartering away at 15 yards. The 220 Hardcast bullet entered the undisturbed and feeding animal's shoulder crease and made a .40 caliber entrance hole I could not quite get my finger through. It left a thumb sized hole in the ribcage, and broke an inch chunk out of one rib. It clipped the top of the heart and the hole in the soft tissue looked to be about the diameter of a Sharpie marker. The bullet exited low between the far shoulder and neck, and I could not quite get my finger through the .40 caliber exit hole. At the shot she pulled her head up and took about five jumps before looking back to see what the fuss was all about. She stood there for about three seconds, and was down for the count. I would estimate the total time from shot to complete stillness to be seven seconds. The penetration was perfectly straight line and I could not have been happier. I am not a handgun hunter per se, and have only shot one other whitetail with 180 grain Hydra-Shocks. Those hollow point bullets were such a disappointing eye opener, and I began to search for a different projectile for use on big game.

I am very pleased with both Tim and his company, and he has taken the time to email me back on my lengthy and specific questions, which is very appreciated and noticeably different than most ammunition manufacturers out there.
