Our 357 mag. ammo adds more power than ever before to the 357 Mag. This ammo is safe to shoot in ANY all steel 357 revolver - this includes J frames. This ammo is no harder on your gun than any other normal 357 ammo. Please don't phone or email us and ask if this ammo is safe in your gun. It is, providing your gun is in a safe condition for use with any normal 357 ammo.

We don't recommend this ammo to be fired in super light alloy revolvers as bullets may jump crimp under recoil, but the ammo itself won't hurt these super light weight revolvers. These revolvers are simply so light that the recoil is severe enough to cause jump crimp.

The below velocities are offered so that you can see what guns/barrel lengths give what velocities with this new 357 mag. ammo. You'll notice that new S&W revolvers with short barrels are often shooting faster than older S&W revolvers with longer barrels. The new S&W revolvers are very good and are made with equipment that makes them more consistent and faster than the S&W revolvers of yesteryear.

Make special note of the Marlin 1894, 18.5-inch barrel velocities. Item 19C/20 supersedes 30-30 energies!!!

This is the best 357Mag self defense ammo I have every used bar none! This 125gr 357mag ammo is what makes 357 magnum so great! I would not hesitate to use this however it rocks the indoor and outdoor, range when I practice with it so I have electronic earpro on my nightstand to go with my revolver for home defenseit will damage your ears indoors so train appropriately.

This round within 100 yards will kill wild boar. It seems to be a good balance of velocity and energy. Most of these hogs were taken from 40 to 75 yards. If stretched out past 100 it should be a head or neck shot only.

I haven't taken a deer with it but within 100 yards I wouldn't hesitate to take the shot. This is real world stuff hope it helps. The standard rounds didn't work nearly as well or kill as well as your ammo.

Love it, the recoil is a bit stout, But it is manageable. Would definitely recommend!

Any way this round produced an honest 1800 FPS from my long Barrel (6 inch) Coonan Classic. That is about 900 Foot pounds of energy! Long story short its plenty accurate and very reliable. My Coonan loves this ammo. They have a bit more recoil than typical 357 magnum rounds but they have a lot more energy. I would love to see what they do in my gun to ballistic gel.

This stuff is a blast to shoot out of my 686P 6".Tried two boxes of this and am now hooked.This stuff jumps out of the gun!It's a like a whoosh out of the barrel.Used this in an indoor range and my friends next to me stopped what they were doing and said "whoa, I can feel that when you shoot.So happy that Buffalo Bore is here to show other bullet manufacturers what a 357 Mag is suppose to do. Thanks Buffalo Bore!

Awsome ammunition. Extremely powerful and loud. People next to me at the range thought I was shooting 44 magnum until they saw the gun. I only wish I had reassurance from someone that it would be safe for my Ruger GP100 to consistently fire this ammo without damaging the gun.

“★★★★★”After going over the Buffalo Bore website I decided to call the company. I actually spoke with Tim Sundles who assured me that their .357 loads were safe to fire from my Ruger GP100. So, I bought a box of 125gr J.H.C. intended for home protection. Needless to say I had to sneak a few to the range. I had to really, really relax to make sure that I didn’t over-grip my revolver anticipating the “kick”. After taking a deep breath and firing, these babies are on target and the recoil isn’t bad at all! Although these are .357 loads, they sound like .44 magnums! You can feel the controllable power in these loads and I highly recommend them. I think I’ve found a real friend with Buffalo Bore. I guarantee that you’ll like ‘em too! “★★★★★”
