The first bear was shot in Sept. 2000 and weighed 275 pounds. It was shot at 25 yards with your 350 gr. .45-70 load. The bullet entered high, slightly behind the front shoulder, chipped the backbone, punctured the lungs, cut the major arteries, broke the off shoulder and exited. The bear dropped on the spot.
The second bear was shot in Sept. 2001 and weighed 400 pounds. It was shot at 200 + yards with your 405 gr. gr. .45-70 load. The round entered slightly behind the front shoulder, cut the top of the heart and vessels, destroyed the lungs and exited behind the off shoulder. The bear ran 15 to 20 feet and collapsed and died.
These two one shot kills clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of your ammunition. I heartily recommend it to other serious hunters.
